Ahead of the EU elections, The Democratic Society will be hosting a free film screening of Freedom of the Wolf as part of the Wake Up Europe! film festival in Manchester on 22nd May. Following the film screening, we will have a digital participatory session using Slideo where you can share your thoughts on the themes raised around democracy, populism and, the rise of the far right in Europe and beyond.

This event is part of The Democratic Society’s engagement event series. We organise spaces for people across the UK to learn about and discuss democracy, politics and connected issues. Events are free to attend and open to all. If you’d like to keep informed, please join our mailing list: please sign up here.

The Democratic Society are a non-profit organisation working for greater participation and dialogue in democracy, we are independent, non-partisan and politically non-aligned. Our project partners have included the UK Government Digital Service, the UNDP, the European Commission, NHS England, the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Scottish Government. We also have received project funding from the King Baudouin Foundation, the Open Society Foundations and Luminate.
